BBMF Fly Past at Sandon, England

The dedication of a memorial to the crew of Lancaster KB879
-- victims of a WWII crash in the area --
took place in the Village of Sandon, Staffordshire, England on August 28, 1999
There was a Memorial Flight flypast of the BBMF Lancaster and Hurricane.
Those in attendance included:
~ relatives of the men killed ~ Mayor of Stafford ~
~ Commanding Officer from 16MU RAF Stafford ~
~ Air Attaché from the Canadian High Commission ~
~ members of the British Legion ~ RAF guard of honour ~
~local people with memories of the crash ~
~ Canon John Greaves the vicar of Sandon and Burston ~
~ local and national media coverage ~
